Anderson Valley Smoky Vintage 2008

From SF Gate article:

"The case of the missing Pinot began in a haze of smoke.
Each year we typically see dozens of bottles of Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley, nestled in western Mendocino County, cross our transom. They form the core of our Mendocino Pinot tasting, and the wines remain some of the most compelling and distinctive in the state.

This year, as we geared up to sample the 2008 vintage, we got maybe 12 bottles. Where were the wines hiding?
You might be nodding a knowing nod if you recall the summer of 2008: It was a brutal wildfire year along the North Coast; Anderson Valley in particular was swathed in thick smoke from the massive Lightning Complex fires during crucial weeks when Pinot grapes were ripening..."

2008 - smoky grapes
2009 - bear broke in, ate grapes
2008 - 10 year anniversary of bottled RVines (right Auntie?)

Smoky Bear Anniversary Vintage, anyone?
